Igglis

Founded in 1914 and tucked into the winding lanes of Ano Poli below the Byzantine walls, Igglis is a tiny vine-draped taverna that a young team now runs without losing its century-old soul. The kitchen leans on grandmother's-style cooking and Anatolian recipes, eaten with spicy mezedes and house tsipouro and raki. The terrace and the old-town setting make it a long-evening room rather than a quick stop.
