Neubau

Neubau, the 7. Bezirk, is Vienna's design-and-MQ quartier. The MuseumsQuartier complex anchors the eastern edge with the Leopold, Mumok, Kunsthalle and Architekturzentrum; west of it, the Spittelberg cobbled lanes and the Lerchenfelder Straße spine carry the city's tightest cluster of modern chef-led rooms. Pramerl & the Wolf (one Michelin star), Konnex (one star), Ulrich and Erich on the same block, the Phil-adjacent independent bookshops, the third-wave coffee that Glockenbach exports. The traveller uses Neubau for the after-museum dinner that does not need the Innere-Stadt jacket, and for the Saturday afternoon that turns into a six-room Spittelberg crawl.
