The Munich counter sits inside Ludwig Beck on Marienplatz, Munich's department-store flagship for Bavarian and German taste, and is the only city-center stop for the kind of confectionery box you bring as a host gift or take home as a controlled luxury. Pralines, marzipan, nougat, fine cakes by the slice; the cake counter rotates daily. Open through the working week with the Ludwig Beck hours, which is the easy part.
