Heinemann has run since 1932 out of Mönchengladbach and is one of the European top addresses for chocolate and patisserie; their champagne truffle, made since 1968, is the dish the house is identified with. The Munich counter sits inside Ludwig Beck on Marienplatz, Munich's department-store flagship for Bavarian and German taste, and is the only city-center stop for the kind of confectionery box you bring as a host gift or take home as a controlled luxury.
