The only Michelin-starred room in Bologna's historic centre, starred since 2012 and set beneath the Liberty-style frescoes of a former 19th-century theatre inside I Portici Hotel. Chef Nicola Annunziata builds three tasting menus of elegant, Mediterranean-leaning plates. A glass-floored 14th-century icehouse offers the city's most romantic table.
