Waxed parquet, carved woodwork, vast foxed mirrors and decades of collected objects give it the air of a lived-in museum. The kitchen holds the line on the canon: handmade pike quenelle, volaille aux morilles, gratin d'écrevisses. A bourgeois bistro rather than a rowdy one.
