Villa San Michele, A Belmond Hotel
Renaissance monastery hotel and the Antesi loggia restaurant above Florence
A 15th-century former monastery with a facade attributed to Michelangelo, reopened in April 2026 after an 18-month restoration with 39 rooms, a Guerlain spa and revitalised gardens on the Fiesole hillside. Its new destination restaurant Antesi seats just eight tables in a 16th-century loggia and welcomes outside diners, alongside Bar Doccia. The definitive slow-luxury escape from the city.
