A 1952 family Niçois institution at the top of Fabron hill
Early-20th-century seafood institution on Malausséna
A monument of the quarter since the early 1900s, La Gauloise is one of Nice's reference addresses for shellfish and seafood platters from September to May. Taken over in 2010 by a trio of enthusiasts who kept its roots intact, it serves oysters, clams and bistro plates in a sober contemporary room. Generous, fairly priced, and patronised by locals.
