1885 Italian-style opera house at the gateway to the old town
Designed with input from Charles Garnier and inaugurated in 1885, the listed Italian-style opera house on rue Saint-François-de-Paule seats over a thousand across three tiers of boxes and is home to the Nice Philharmonic, Ballet Nice Méditerranée and choirs. The city's serious cultural anchor at the edge of Vieux Nice.
