Meierei is the daytime and casual register of the Steirereck building inside the Stadtpark, the same Reitbauer family kitchen, the same Stadtpark pavilion setting, but a register optimised around three things: a long all-day Frühstück menu that runs from the Reitbauer farm's own dairy, an Austrian-and-European cheese cellar of roughly 120 references that is among the deepest in the German-speaking world, and a Wiener Schnitzel from veal sourced from the Reitbauer farm at Pogusch. One Michelin star. The room is brighter and lower-stakes than the upstairs flagship; the booking is two weeks ahead instead of eight.
The Frühstück is the right Stadtpark morning, book a table on the terrace. The cheese cellar tasting flight is the late-afternoon ritual; ask the staff to walk you through ten cheeses across the four Austrian Länder.
