| Last reviewed: May 2026 La Maison de la Truffe at 19 place de la Madeleine has been the Paris reference for fresh truffle since 1932, founded by truffle merchants from Carpentras and renovated in 2021 by designer Alexis Mabille. The format is two-in-one: a ground-floor boutique selling whole truffles, oils, vinegars and butters, and an upstairs restaurant where the kitchen builds menus around whatever season is in (black truffle from Périgord in winter, summer truffle from June). It's the rare Madeleine address where the gourmet shop and the restaurant share the same supply chain, the truffle on your plate came from the cabinet downstairs that morning.
