Siesta Restaurant Gümüşlük

Siesta opened in 1991 in the middle of the Gümüşlük waterfront and has worked the same room ever since, accommodation row on one side, the line of fish restaurants on the other, the sea a metre from the deck. The signature is the white-painted wooden tables with navy cushions and the locally-made decorative gourds (the village's traditional craft) hung over the terrace. The kitchen is steady Aegean, sea beans, grilled calamari, grilled octopus, the house Siesta special, and the wine list runs short but careful.
