Stone terrace at the gate of Erythrai antique city, the Ildırı sunset bench with takımadalar in frame
Agora sits at the very gate of the Erythrai antique site, on the upper edge of the village, a stone terrace that takes in Ildırı bay, the takımadalar, and the Sakız silhouette in one piece. The kitchen is unambitious, house-style mezes, gözleme, small grilled fish, and that's the point: the table is for the view. Where Ali'nin Yeri runs at the water with a meyhane energy, Agora reads the antique site's slow rhythm from above. Two addresses make one Ildırı day: lunch at Ali, late afternoon at Agora for the sunset, then back down to the harbour for the evening meyhane sofra.
Come for the view, not the kitchen. Late-afternoon coffee or a small meze plate; leave just before the sun drops behind the takımadalar.
