Open since 2000 on the shore of a private lake at Greenlife Golf in Elviria, El Lago held a Michelin star from 2005 to 2023 and lost it in the 2024 guide. The kitchen, under chef Fernando Villasclaras, has not lost its ambition: a sustainability-minded, locally sourced menu rooted in the produce of the Málaga province, served on a terrace over the water at dusk.

No longer starred, but still one of the most accomplished kitchens east of Marbella. The lakeside terrace at sunset is the reason to make the drive to Elviria.
