Historic 200-year-old han with lokanta lunch and meyhane evenings
Located on Mahkeme Sokak (Courthouse Street) in Karakoy's historic district, Mahkeme Lokantasi occupies a 200-year-old han rumored to date back to Byzantine times. The building sits across from the 1314 Genoese Court and was once owned by the famous Kamondo family. By day, it operates as a refined lokanta serving soups and seasonal dishes. By evening, it transforms into a sophisticated meyhane with exceptional mezes and fresh fish. The upper floor features private loca rooms for intimate gatherings.
