Charcoal-grilled fish on the passeio do peixe
From dockworkers' canteen to cult grilled-fish room
Opened in the 1980s feeding port workers chanfana and tripas, Salta o Muro pivoted to the sea as Matosinhos became a grilled-fish pilgrimage. Palmira Moreira's robalo de coentrada, sea bass under a green coriander broth, became its signature. A small, genuine room that earns its line out the door.
Order the robalo de coentrada and expect to wait at peak times. Closed Sundays and Mondays.
