Il Cortile
A Genoese kitchen in a 19th-century courtyard just under the Galata Tower
Beoordeeld door Mes Prestiges Redactieteam Laatst beoordeeld juli 2026
Tucked into the courtyard of a 19th-century French school just under the Galata Tower, Il Cortile serves genuine northern-Italian cooking with Genoese roots, handmade pasta and wood-fired pizza, around a leafy stone cortile strung with light. It trades the tower-side tourist churn a few steps away for an enclosed garden calm, the kind of hidden courtyard Istanbul rarely gives up.
Tip van de redactie
Book the courtyard, not the indoor room; it sits a few quiet steps from the Galata Tower crush.
