Frenchie

Greg Marchand opened Frenchie on rue du Nil in 2009 after stages with Jamie Oliver and at Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park, the 24-seat room reset the template for the post-Le Chateaubriand neo-bistro generation. The set menu (no à la carte) leans Anglo-French in instinct, the wine list runs deep on small French growers, and the rue du Nil side-street has since spawned Frenchie Bar à Vins (across the street, no reservations), Frenchie To Go (the sandwich counter), and Terroirs d'Avenir (the produce-and-fish supplier the chapter audience also reads about).
