Silencio

Silencio opened in 2011 on rue de Montmartre, David Lynch designed every interior detail across six basement floors of the building where Émile Zola printed J'accuse in 1898. The 2,100-sq-ft space runs as a series of dedicated rooms: live stage with a reflective dance floor, art library, sitting lounge, twenty-four-seat MK2-programmed cinema, a smoking pavilion. Members-only until midnight (membership €420-€1,500); non-members may enter for the late-night programme after 00:00 on event nights. Pharrell Williams, Kendrick Lamar and Dua Lipa have shown up; Frieze partnered Silencio for an LA takeover. Listed by Art Basel, Dezeen, Rolling Stone and Paris Je t'aime as one of the city's most consistently programmed late venues.
