Matsuhisa Athens, Nobu Matsuhisa's Athens project, operating under the chef's name rather than the Nobu brand, opened inside the Astir Palace resort in Vouliagmeni in 2002 and has functioned since as the Athens-Riviera fine-dining destination for the international hotel crowd. The menu is the Nobu canon (black cod miso, yellowtail jalapeño, rock shrimp tempura) executed with a Greek-Mediterranean sourcing register, and the dining room opens to a terrace looking over the resort beach. For the Istanbul cosmopolitan reading the Athens chapter through familiar references, Matsuhisa is the structural Nobu parallel, same menu architecture as Nobu Istanbul, different coastline.
Resort-property booking, non-guests welcome but the valet drop-off and the property gates make the experience feel more hotel-anchored than urban. Black cod miso and yellowtail jalapeño are the canon orders.
