Commissioned by Süleyman the Magnificent in 1528 and restored to its vaulted, courtyard form, this is the rare Çeşme stay that is a genuine monument rather than a resort. Rooms sit under high arched ceilings with hand-carved wood and period motifs, a hammam in the cellars, and the castle and yacht harbour a two-minute walk away. A real institution to base a town stay around.
