Jeremy Lee's neon-signed Dean Street dining room, the Soho institution turning one hundred in 2026
Jacob Kenedy's region-by-region Italian counter on Archer Street, every dish labelled by province, eighteen years deep
Jacob Kenedy and Victor Hugo opened Bocca di Lupo on a quiet Soho side street behind the Apollo Theatre in 2008 and it has not slipped since: a marble counter facing the open kitchen, a small-plate / large-plate format, and every dish on the menu labelled with the Italian province it comes from, Piedmont, Sicily, Veneto, Le Marche, so that an evening can be deliberately walked through one region or scrambled through six. Bib Gourmand-held; Tatler 'Best Wine List'. Kenedy's Gelupo gelato bar sits across the road for the after-dinner walk. The most adult Italian in Soho, and the room every visiting Istanbullu Italophile recognises.
Sit at the marble counter facing the kitchen, book it specifically. Order three small plates per person across three provinces, then one large plate to share. Walk to Gelupo afterwards for the ricotta-and-sour-cherry. Late kitchen until 23:00 makes this a real post-theatre option.
