Weinhaus Neuner
Altstadt-Lehel
Munich's oldest wine house, restored 15th-century vaulted rooms
The palace-restaurant inside Schloss Nymphenburg, the only address with this view
Schlosswirtschaft Schwaige sits inside the Nymphenburg palace ensemble itself, vaulted rooms, tiled stoves, a chestnut-shaded biergarten in the south wing. Operators include Oktoberfest's Michael Schottenhamel and the formerly-youngest-Michelin-starred-in-Germany Peter Kinner; chef Dietmar Weiß runs an elevated Bavarian kitchen. You're paying a small palace tax, but it's the only restaurant where lunch ends with a walk through the Schlosspark.
Pair this with a morning at the Schloss and the Amalienburg pavilion in the park, total half-day. Biergarten side (south wing) in summer; the vaulted indoor rooms in winter. Book ahead on weekends; the Schloss draws the crowds and they eat here too.
