King Max I's 1820 palm house, behind Nymphenburg Palace, fifth-generation innkeepers
Built in 1820 by King Max I as the palace's winter shelter for citrus trees, the Palmenhaus sits directly behind the main façade of Nymphenburg Palace and now seats 130 under high glass under a fifth-generation innkeeper family. Light-filled by design, regional-fresh by policy, the kitchen runs all-day cake and a proper Bavarian-leaning lunch; Sunday breakfast 10–14:00 is the quiet move. The Eisernes Haus (the original iron house, 60 covers) and the Orangerie wing (170) handle the private-event traffic, leaving the day-room calm.
Pairs as the indoor pendant to Schlosswirtschaft Schwaige's outdoor table, same palace, different season. Closed Monday: build the Nymphenburg day around Tuesday–Sunday.
