The fresh-pasta queue London actually accepts, Shoreditch sister of the Borough original
Padella opened in Borough Market in 2016 and built a cult around eight pounds of pappardelle with eight-hour beef shin ragù; the Shoreditch sister followed on Phipp Street in 2020, with a longer counter and a virtual queue that runs up to two kilometres from the door. Same hand-rolled pasta, same single-page menu. The Shoreditch room is calmer than the Borough mothership and faster to clear; the audience's pre-Brat or post-Sessions slot when the appetite is one perfect bowl rather than a long sitting.
Join the virtual queue on the Dojo app from up to 2km away, it is faster than queuing in person and you can have a drink at Sager + Wilde while you wait. The pici cacio e pepe and the pappardelle ragù are the orders; everything else is decoration.
