| Last reviewed: May 2026 Vits is the room that started Munich's specialty-coffee scene before specialty coffee was a category in Germany, Christian Vits has been roasting on Rumfordstraße since 2007 with a Probat drum, single-origin focus, seasonal rotation. The retro-styled cafe in front of the roastery is small and quiet; you get filter, espresso, and a short food menu, plus beans by the bag to take home. They run barista training, sensory courses, and latte-art classes for the trade, which tells you what kind of operation this is. If you have one specialty-coffee morning to spend in Munich, spend it here.

Take home a 250g bag of whichever single-origin filter is on rotation, they grind to your brew method on request. Walking distance to Viktualienmarkt and Gärtnerplatz. Closed Sundays so plan accordingly.
