Trachtenvogl
Glockenbachviertel
1950s Speisecafé in a former Tracht shop, the quarter's living room
An untouched 1955 café interior, Maxvorstadt time-capsule
On the corner of Steinheilstraße and Augustenstraße in a 1954 building, the 1950s interior has been heritage-protected and barely touched since 1955. Marble tables, a small bar, late-afternoon cream cakes that drift into a cocktail rhythm at night. Maxvorstadt's most direct contact with the original Munich.
No reservations. Two doors from Steinheil 16, natural follow-on for cake after the schnitzel.
