Jan Hartwig's three-Michelin-star laboratory in Maxvorstadt
Jan Hartwig, formerly head chef at Atelier, opened his eponymous restaurant on Luisenstraße in October 2022 and collected three Michelin stars within months, plus the third place on Opinionated About Dining's 2024 and 2025 European rankings. The open kitchen runs what Hartwig calls 'a love laboratory': minimal, warmly-lit dining room, a brigade that performs without theatrics. Munich's highest standard, full stop.
