Holzplatz hideaway for fresh pasta and Roman pinsa
A casual Italian on Pestalozzistrasse just off Holzplatz (the Glockenbach piazza locals call Piazza de Legna). Owner Fabian and his team make the pasta in-house every morning and bake pinsa in the traditional Roman style, a lighter, longer-fermented dough that puts most Munich pizzerias on notice. The carbonara is properly made (no cream, guanciale, pecorino) and the Pinsa Porto e Bello is the move. Vaulted cellar downstairs, a few outdoor tables on the piazza in summer.
The kind of place where the owner walks you through the menu and remembers you the second time. Tiramisu is house-made and worth saving room for.
