Old Palma's medieval trading quarter, now its densest run of tapas counters, plazas and late bars.
La Lonja takes its name from the great Gothic merchants' exchange on its edge, a reminder that this corner of old Palma was built on sea trade. Today its tight medieval lanes hold the densest concentration of the city's nightlife, packed with bars, tapas counters and restaurants that spill onto small plazas under stone façades. The mood shifts through the evening, from an early vermouth in the shadow of the Llotja to late drinks that run well past midnight. Dining here ranges from a serious seasonal kitchen to a bustling Argentine grill to a long-running cocktail institution, all within a few hundred metres.
