Florian Berger cooks, Sabrina Berger runs the room, twenty-something covers on Zehentbauernstraße between the Grünwalder Stadion and Tegernseer Landstraße, awarded a Michelin star and held there. The seasonal menu reads modern with regional bones: wild-boar-and-egg-yolk ravioli with cocoa and barberry, vegetarian variants on duck-liver, a 'Giesinger Brotzeit' that takes the neighbourhood snack and rewires it. The room is unpretentious to the point of discreet, no white tablecloths, no maître theatre, which is why locals book it for anniversaries and visitors keep mistaking the address.
The Au-Giesing chapter anchor, the only Michelin star south of the Isar that the audience won't have heard of from the Bayerischer Hof concierge. Book three to four weeks ahead. Owner-couple structure means stability: same chef, same room, same standard since the star.
